California Alumni Greetings!It's that time again for another General Assembly. This year, GA will be held November 9-12, in Anaheim, CA. This is a great opportunity for us to recruit more alum and showcase what the Alumni Program is all about. Read on to find out how YOU can help, even from home!

Alumni Awards
Two more alumni to be inducted into the Hall of Peer Education...
The Outstanding Alumni Awards honor those who have served as peer educators or affiliate advisors in the past. We would like to announce two annual awards that will be presented at the General Assembly in Anaheim on Saturday, November 11, 2006. If you know of any former students or advisors who meet the criteria for either of these awards, please consider taking the time to nominate them.
Two awards will be presented to alumni who have made outstanding contributions to health and safety issues in their local, state or national communities through their professional work and/or philanthropic service. This contribution must relate to the mission of The BACCHUS Network (you can view the mission statement at www.bacchusnetwork.org).
One of these two awards will be presented to alumnus who graduated between 2000-2005. The other award will be presented to an alumnus who served BACCHUS before 2000.
The recipient of each award will be invited to attend the 2006 General Assembly Awards Banquet at no cost. Attendance at the General Assembly will have no impact on deciding the winners.
Each winner receives a plaque.
Hurry! All nominations must be submitted by October 13th! Nominations will be accepted online only.

Silent Auction
Donate to the Silent Auction
Last year we raised over $6000 for our nonprofit organization!
This year we will again host a Silent Auction to raise funds for The BACCHUS Network. There are two ways to help with this effort:
1. Donate an Auction item - we are looking for items that participants at General Assembly can bid upon.
2. Purchase an Auction item - bring cash or credit to bid upon the items donated.Please contact Miriam Nicklaus (flpeered@nettally.com) directly if you will be donating an item for the Silent Auction.

California Alumni
Seeking Alumni Help at GA
We are looking for any BACCHUS Alum in the Anaheim or greater L.A. area who are willing to come and help with part of the Alumni activities taking place at General Assembly. The activities that we need the most help with include the Alumni Program break-out session and the Senior Reception.
