Online Education
Why an online course
from The BACCHUS Network™?
Since 1975 when The BACCHUS Network™ was founded, there
has remained several constants determining how we serve the
higher education population. One of those constants is that
we have the creative talent and higher education experience
to design resources that educate and appeal to college students.
Another constant is that we listen to our Network in the prevention
field and respond to the educational needs of health educators
and student affairs professionals. When we hear of a need
in the AOD community, whether it be for peer education training(CPE)
or student-friendly sexual responsibility education (Sex in
the CD) or tobacco education and cessation (Journey of a Lifetime
CD), we strive to meet that need.
The BACCHUS Network™ offers two online
education courses. Alcohol Response-Ability™
targets judicial policy violations and Foundations for
Student Athletes™ targets athletes. These courses
offer students a one-on-one online learning experience, and
for today's students, the computer IS personal. The course
challenges the user to be honest and open, without having
friends and peers staring over his or her shoulder or comparing
stories of excessive use. It offers the user a frank and realistic
risk assessment, and lays it on the line- if you continue
to make unhealthy decisions, you are destined to get unhealthy
results. Another advantage is that by offering the course
online, campus policy offenders are not all brought together
in the same room. Their learning experience occurs on an honest
and individual basis, their responses are personal and confidential.
For technical support for students
taking either the Alcohol Response-Ability Course, or the
Foundations course please call

or e-mail
the support team.
Alcohol Response-Ability™ is designed
specifically for those students who receive a sanction because
of violations in your campus alcohol policy. You now have
a choice of allowing students to go through a four-hour class
entirely online, knowing they are getting credible and interactive
educational programming, without taking up valuable staff
time with trying to schedule people into a class or finding
qualified and available staff to teach them.

Foundations for Student Athletes™ is
a 90-minute, internet-bases alcohol education and life skills
program designed specifically for student-athletes and those
who work with them in the college and university setting.
In the first program of its kind, student athletes will receive
a customized educational experience that is interactive, interesting
and designed to help them avoid risk and recognize the consequences
associated with alcohol abuse in their campus communities.
